Rep. John Joyce (R-PA)

JOHN JOYCE sits on one and only one committee: Energy and Commerce. However, he participates in fourteen caucuses, which essentially function as lobbies for special interests. Joyce's caucuses: GOP doctors (he's an M.D.), Children's Health Care, Skin Cancer, Diabetes, Congressional Baking, Army, Dairy, Auto Care, Bus, Irish, Paper and Packing, Rural Broadband, Future Farmers of America, and 4-H.
Despite those health-related caucuses, he supports precious little in the way of health legislation. In fact, he introduces almost nothing and cosponsors a scarcity of bills, regardless of topic.
Important legislation (one way or the other) is highlighted on this page. For details, follow the link.
Proposed legislation:
- September 19, 2025-December 3, 2025
- August 23, 2025-September 18, 2025: Joyce started off these weeks by supporting a resolution to make 9/12/2025 "The Day of the Bible." It went downhill from there. He made multiple sycophantic speeches on the floor of the House, to the point I think one of his aides must send every speech and remark to Trump along with a Diet Coke and Big Mac. He does not represent Pennsylvania.
- July 17, 2025-August 22, 2025: Bipartisan act to encourage use of mental health care and substance abuse disorder services by health care professionals; a bill to authorize a loan repayment program to encourage specialty medicine physicians to serve in rural communities experiencing a shortage of specialty medicine physicians; and remarks on the floor of the House in support of Trump's goal of deregulating the fossil fuel industry.
- July 1, 2025-July 17, 2025
- June 12, 2025-June 30, 2025
