We use Ancestry Pro to generate family trees and research using their military, census, newspaper, and other archives. If you have already set up an Ancestry account, we can work within what you have.
If you do not wish to set up your own account initially, we can set one up within our subscription and hand it off to you when it is finished.
If you've already gotten started, we will:
- Verify the accuracy of data you've entered from others' trees.
- Check "hints" Ancestry has deposited in your account and ignore the irrelevant ones.
- Add information you've wondered about but are not sure how to handle.
If your family tree is a blank slate, we can:
- Set up a new tree with the data you have.
- Zip through the addition of "potential matches."
- Go back and verify information connected to those potential matches.
- Talk to you about your end game - Do you simply want to track ggggggrandparents as far back as you can? Are you interested in tracking down a bajillion cousins? Are you focused on one single branch? Are you stuck on one single branch that isn't being easy to find? Are you positive there are interesting stories out there about your family, but you don't know where to find them?
We're a little different from our competitors. For one thing, there's no (gasp) $3000 or $8000 flat rate price tag. We'll send you a questionnaire. The hour discussing your responses is not billed. It's how we determine your end game.
After that, the first three days are charged at whole days of $750/day. After three days of work (or 24 working hours), we will check back with you to ensure we're on the right track.
The rest of your family's project - digging that interests you -- will be billed at $75/hour, with 10% discount if you pay in advance.
On this services page, you can pay for one, two, or three of those first three days. Please choose quantity when ordering.
Subsequent work will be invoiced with terms of Net 10.
