From the Publisher's Desk Dear readers, At the same time we moved from the East Coast to Utah, Microsoft discontinued its bCentral e-Commerce solution. Our research yielded only alternative solutions that - while perhaps more aesthetically pleasing than our old catalog - were also much more expensive. If you've followed our work for over the past eight years, you know that we value frugality and prefer to invest our money in research and advancement of "knowledge", not in bells and whistles. It seemed therefore impractical to spend money (that would eventually drive up the price of our books and services) on something that would emulate amazon.com, without providing extra service to you, our valued customers. We've therefore devised a fairly simple online catalog with a form for you to print out, and mail / fax / email to us. We still accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discover, along with personal and company checks. As before, we ship solely via UPS Ground or USPS parcel post. International mail is sent via the new "International First Class" rate. Those prices are reflected in our shipping information. However, if you have a UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Airborne Express account, and would like to have us ship and bill you directly, we will be happy to accommodate that request. Note your information on the order form. In this update, we have no
new releases to announce. We've come through somewhat of a slump and are now
trying to catch up on backlog: Restocking inventory, finalizing publications
that should have been released earlier in the year, working through piles of
unanswered correspondence. If you're looking to submit new material to us, now
would not be a good time. We recommend holding off on query letters until March
2008. To those of you who've been loyal customers since 1999 - thank you! Your patience and support mean a great deal to us. While we are not considering new queries until March 2008, please feel free to drop us a line at any time. Let us know how you think we're doing, what we can improve, how we can make our books and services more accessible. If you'd like to schedule an author's appearance at your synagogue, church, school, or university, let us know that as well. As Ruth Sachs noted on her Web site, the move to Utah has been excellent for our entire family - and "family" is the driving force behind Exclamation! Publishers and Center for White Rose Studies.
