We have moved into a new (and exciting) phase of our White Rose work: Issuing specific Calls for Papers. We invite scholars of every age and persuasion to submit research results to us on the topics listed below. If you are a high school student writing a term paper, a college student with a challenging honors project, a grad student who wants to introduce portions of your research, or faculty (active or retired, full-time or adjunct) ~ that is, anyone who would like to contribute to White Rose scholarship ~ then we want you! (And same goes for non-academics who simply love research ~ I see a few of you out there.)

Any of these topics may be addressed as either a short essay for our Center for White Rose Newsletter; or as a "white paper" that would be published through our online catalog. 450-750 words for the first, 4,500-13,500 for the second. If you don't see your topic below, email Ruth Sachs. Any time you discover that a topic has enough information for a full-length book, please let us know! Note to grad students: I believe all of the below represent excellent dissertation topics... They are all gaps in White Rose literature.

Include a current CV or resume (students, please include two recommendations from teachers or professors). The proposal should include a general outline of the research you intend to carry out. Please include SASE if you want your materials returned, and always include an email address for discussion or reply.

We have organized our CFP into two separate categories: Interdisciplinary and Biographical. Each topic shows the abbreviations SE (for short essay), WP (white paper), and BK (book). If the topic has been taken, the scholar's initials will follow the appropriate abbreviation.

Note re royalties and advances: We cannot afford to pay royalties for short essays. However, we do pay 15% royalties (no advances) for white papers and books published through our affiliate, Exclamation! Publishers.
