Shipping (general)

We had to discontinue UPS/FedEx shipments, because shipping costs went up faster than we could change our shipping information. If you need anything overnight, we can still accommodate your needs by using your UPS, FedEx, DHL, or Airborne Express account number (we will not charge you any shipping or standard handling), or by charging actual costs in excess of standard shipping to your credit card.

Shipping (cost)

For domestic orders via UPS ground or USPS parcel post: $1-50, add $5.50; $50.01-100, $15.00;  $100.01-150, $18.00; $150.01-200, $22.50; over $200, add $36.00.

For international orders via Priority International Mail (formerly parcel air mail): $1-50, add $36.00; $50.01-100, $55.00;  $100.01-250, $75.00; $250.01-500, $122.50; over $500, add $175.00.

Estimated shipping time for both UPS Ground/USPS parcel post and Priority International Mail is 6 - 10 business days.

Gift wrap

Standard gift wrap (white wrapping paper only): $5.00. Special: $7.50. Deluxe: $18.00. For special and deluxe, please specify occasion (e.g. birthday, anniversary, graduation) and colors desired.

Price is per package, not per item. Please specify which items make up a single package.

Turnaround (order handling) time

Except where otherwise noted - as with genealogy research, business services, Changing Seasons First Edition - order handling time for items that are in stock is 4 - 7 business days.

For faster turnaround, you can order the following "services:"

Rush: Order handling time of 2 - 3 business days, add $18.00.

Urgent: Order handling time of 1 - 2 business days, add $36.00.

Sales tax

Pennsylvania residents, please add 6% to your order. Utah residents, please add 6.6%. As usual, sales tax applies only to items purchased (like books and calendars), not to services rendered.

If you are purchasing for resale, or if you are otherwise tax exempt, please submit the requisite tax-exempt forms with your initial order.

Discounts

If we have granted you a discount, please deduct from subtotal prior to calculation of both shipping and sales tax. Note "order number" (usually DIS-XXXXX) and item description on form in item field.

Discounts can be handled in a variety of ways, but we prefer to use the method that gives you the greatest benefit.

Gift certificates

If you wish to give someone a gift certificate for use with our catalog, please email us at exclamation dot publishers at deheap dot com for details. There is neither shipping nor handling charge for gift certificates, unless it goes out "rush" or "urgent".

If you have received a gift certificate and wish to use it to pay for an order, please note that the gift certificate must be applied after shipping and sales tax have been calculated. For example, purchase of White Rose History Volume II, regular edition = $50.00 for the item, plus $5.50 for shipping, plus $3.00 sales tax to an address in Pennsylvania. If you have a $50.00 gift certificate, your order will cost you $8.50.

Returned checks fee

If your bank fails to honor a personal or company check submitted in payment for an order, there will be a $25.00 returned check fee assessed to your account.

Restocking fee

We have had to increase our restocking fee for returned items from 15% to 25% to cover our costs. Of course, if the return is due to our error, there is no restocking fee.
